WWE is a revolving door sometimes, with hiring and firings going down all the time. Now, we have another departure to report, and it seems to be a sudden one.
Vince McMahon’s company is gearing up for a sale. They have been in the mode to trim costs whenever they can, and that sometimes called for them to make some cuts. It seems this latest release had nothing to do with budget cuts.
According to a report from Sean Sapp behind Fightful’s paywall, WWE fired their SVP of Talent Operations and Strategy, James Kimball. It was said that his firing was “immediate” and it went down last week.
Fightful has learned that WWE SVP of Talent Operations & Strategy James Kimball is no longer with the company.
We’re told it was an HR violation terminated immediately last week.
Kimball had been with the company for two years, working on the NIL program, among other things. He’d also spent ten years with UFC
We must reiterate that this firing does not sound like it has anything to do with budget cuts. James Kimball’s firing seems like a one-off occurrence and due to some sort of violation. It is unknown what that human resource violation is at this time.
