The TD Garden in Boston, MA is set to host the March 6th episode of Monday Night RAW. 16-time World Champion will be making his much-waited return on the show to declare his WrestleMania plans for this year. According to rumors, Cena would potentially wrestle Austin Theory at WrestleMania 39 in Los Angeles.
According to Wrestle Tix, for the RAW show, the TD Garden boasts a seating capacity of 11,303. However, only 1,571 tickets remain to be sold with 9,732 tickets being distributed since the bookings began.
With 758 tickets up for resale, 7,705 tickets were distributed since John Cena was announced meaning The Champ has moved 2,000 tickets in just 2 days. Even as a part-time Superstar, Cena continues to be a major draw for WWE.
WWE has a lot of Platinum tickets available in the lower bowl area (and front rows of upper deck sections) which will help bloat the gate for this show if they can move them. With John Cena on the card, WWE can expect another big gate for the March 6th event.
On the December 30, 2022, episode of WWE SmackDown, John Cena wrestled for the first time in over a year, where he and Kevin Owens defeated The Bloodline’s Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn. On the day of RAW is XXX, Cena was announced as the cover star for the WWE 2K23 video game, the second time for him being a cover star of a WWE 2K game after WWE 2K15.
With John Cena rumored to feud with Austin Theory for ‘Mania this year, fans can expect to see a passing-off-the-torch match at The Showcase Of Immortals come April. Considering The Champ only wrestled once last year due to his incredibly busy Hollywood schedule, it’s possible for him to follow in Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s footprints and make himself unavailable for any kind of WWE commitments sooner than later.
