WWE has undergone quite a few changes in its overall product ever since Triple H took over as Creative head of the company. This includes how much different both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night Smackdown has become. In fact, this week’s RAW has set a huge record.
This week’s episode of Monday Night RAW has achieved yet another impressive milestone for the company, further adding to a string of recent accomplishments.
The episode dealt with the aftermath of the company’s highly anticipated Elimination Chamber premium live event, in which Sami Zayn was unable to beat Roman Reigns in the main event.
Sami Zayn kicked off RAW by talking to his longtime friend/enemy Kevin Owens. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported that this week’s episode in Ottawa was the highest-grossing event there.
Per internal WWE live events reports, WWE Raw in Ottawa, Ontario was their highest grossing event ever there.
No word on how @ImChelseaGreen drew in Ottawa, Illinois”
In the tweet by Sapp, he mentions a comedic incident from the episode involving Chelsea Green, who called WWE authority figure Adam Pearce to inform him that she had been mistakenly sent to Ottawa in Illinois instead of Ottawa, Canada, where the show was scheduled to take place. We’ll have to see how next week’s show will turn out as we head towards WrestleMania 39.
