Sami Zayn has been a pivotal member of WWE ever since he joined the company back in 2014. Zayn has proved himself to be an invaluable star in the company, being part of the most compelling storyline in WWE with The Bloodline. Zayn also lost to Roman Reigns at the Elimination Chamber, something that he is ashamed of.
During the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event, Sami Zayn challenged Roman Reigns for his titles. It was an emotional roller coaster, as Zayn took Reigns to the limit in his hometown of Montreal.
Despite his best efforts, Sami Zayn was unable to put down Roman Reigns for the win due to interference from The Bloodline. While speaking during RAW Talk, Sami Zayn talked about the whole experience.
The Underdog from The Underground discussed his feelings after losing to the Tribal Chief. Zayn made it clear that he felt ashamed losing to Roman Reigns at the Premium Live Event.
“Yeah, an emotional roller coaster. As I said there, I have a lot of gratitude for the love that they showed me. People tell me, ‘No, don’t do that,’ but I do. I do feel guilty, a little bit embarrassed, and a little bit ashamed that I couldn’t get it done [win the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship] at Elimination Chamber.
But you know, I also take a lot of pride in the fact that over a year ago, no one would have given me the chance in the world to even be in this match. But the truth is that I went the distance with the most dominant champion of all time. I had him beat, and the only reason he was able to beat me was because, well, he cheated. That’s what The Bloodline do, they cheat. Trust me, I know. He got it done.”
Sami Zayn also had a segment with Kevin Owens on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. We will have to wait and see how the company will book Zayn’s storyline in the coming weeks.
