Sasha Banks shocked the world when she, and Naomi, walked out of WWE in May of 2022. That resulted in a suspension, and now Mercedes Mone is no longer under WWE contract, and she is making a big name for herself outside the company.
After winning the IWGP Women’s Championship, Mercedes Mone is on a roll. That also brings up a big question of where she will appear next.
While speaking with Alex McCarthy, Mercedes Mone made it clear that she can go wherever she likes with her new IWGP Women’s Championship. Although this interview took place prior to winning the title, the bottom line is that Mercedes will go where the money takes her.
“I’m as free as a bird. I’ve got the choice to decide anything that I want to do. Especially tomorrow when I win the IWGP Women’s Championship, I plan to take that title all over the world, not just New Japan. It’s about to be a global championship. So wherever that championship ends up, whether it be on United States TV, Japan TV, Mexico TV, Germany TV, anywhere all over the world is wherever I choose to make it happen. So whoever has the best bag, whoever writes the best check for Mercedes Mone, that’s where I might end up.”
Only time will tell if Mercedes Mone’s road brings her back to WWE. After all, WWE is where the money really is, especially for someone like her. Sasha Banks’ return to Vince McMahon’s company will have to wait, because she is very busy as Mercedes Mone.
