Roman Reigns is in the middle of a Hall of Fame worth run as Undisputed Universal Champion, but not everyone is impressed. Bray Wyatt has tangled with Roman Reigns more than a few times throughout his career, and he wasn’t afraid to take a light shot at the Head of the Table.
Roman Reigns has been Undisputed Universal Chamber for 323 days, but he held the Universal Title for over 900 days at this point. Bray Wyatt saw a post on Twitter that lauded Roman’s accomplishment, but Bray had to comment with a question.
Yeah but HOW did he win it?
In case you’re keeping track of history, Roman Reigns won the Universal Championship in a three-way match at Payback 2020 against Braun Strowman and then-champion ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt. This was a very interesting shot to take at Wyatt, since it was his title before it belonged to Roman Reigns.
That Payback match was full of drama. The Tribal Chief would not sign his contract for the match until after the match already started. Then he joined the match after about ten minutes into the bout after Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman tore each other, and the ring, apart.
Roman Reigns pinned Strowman to win Wyatt’s title in that match. This is something that Bray Wyatt obviously hasn’t forgotten about yet. We’ll have to see how things pan out on the road to WrestleMania, but Bray Wyatt has a very good memory.
