WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix was one of the pioneers of women’s wrestling. This is because she was a huge star during a time when female wrestlers were not given much focus. She and Edge competed at WWE Elimination Chamber and even used FTR’s finisher to pick up a win against Finn Balor and Rhea Ripley.

There were plans for a highly-anticipated Mixed Tag Team Match at the Elimination Chamber show in Montreal, featuring Beth Phoenix and Edge taking on Finn Balor and Rhea Ripley.

In fact, that is exactly what happened as Phoenix and Edge faced off against the aforementioned Judgement Day members. In the end, Edge and Beth Phoenix won the match by hitting Finn Balor with FTR’s finisher.

Dax Hardwood took to Twitter and reacted to Edge and Beth Phoenix using FTR’s finisher, by using the previous name for their finisher – The Shatter Machine.

Edge is good friends with both Dax Hardwood and Cash Wheeler in real life, so a tribute such was this was a nice surprise. Regardless, we will have to wait and see what WWE will have planned for Edge and Beth Phoenix next, as we head towards WrestleMania 39.
