Ariel Helwani was on SmackDown this week, in the home of Elimination Chamber, Montreal. He was excited for tomorrow night’s big event, but Tony Khan was not as enthused.

After Ariel Helwani appeared on SmackDown, Tony Khan jumped on Twitter, and he launched into a little attack. He called the famous MMA journalist “a fraud” and then grouped him in the same category as Tony Schiavone as a legitimate reporter.
You’re a fraud @arielhelwani. You’re as legitimate of a reporter as @tonyschiavone24.
We’re not sure what caused this little outburst, but we’ve seen worse from Tony Khan in the past. Only time will tell if he ever explains his rationale behind this post, because we’re all ears.
Ariel Helwani interviewed Tony Khan a few months back. During that interview, the topic of him working with WWE was addressed, so it’s not anything new. Tony Khan was still obviously very upset about seeing Ariel Helwani on SmackDown.
