The tension surrounding the Bloodline is the most intriguing storyline in the WWE landscape today. Ever since Sami Zayn put a chair to Roman Reigns’ back, the signs of internal cracks are prevalent in the faction. Moreover, The Usos have also started to move away from the leadership of Roman Reigns in recent weeks and looks like they might not be present for his bout at this weekend’s Elimination Chamber show.
WWE Elimination Chamber is only one day away with a lot of buzz surrounding the event. Furthermore, the whole wrestling industry is talking about what will happen when Sami Zayn and Roman Reigns square off for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title.
Jimmy and Jey Uso, who are a part of Reigns’ Bloodline, are two explanatory variables. As buzz has built for the championship bout, the Usos have appeared torn on whether they continue to support “Tribal Chief” or if they formed a deeper bond with the one-time “Honorary Uce” during his time with the family.
However, it looks like The Usos may just say home instead of traveling to Montreal. At least that is what Roman Reigns suggested as much last week on “SmackDown” through his “wise man” Paul Heyman.
According to the most recent Wrestling Observer Newsletter, that question will be a focal point for the pay-per-view. The Paul Heyman and Jimmy Uso segment that ended Friday night’s program was intended to raise fans’ suspicions regarding the Usos’ absence on Saturday.
On Smackdown, Paul Heyman told Jimmy Uso that Reigns wants both Usos to stay home. This is an angle in some form. Both Usos can legally go to Canada so that’s not a cover story to explain them not being there, but a storyline playing off the idea some people expect the story is a cover to explain them not being there. This isn’t saying they will be there, but it is to put the idea in your head that they won’t be.
It has long been assumed that The Usos’ inability to enter Canada has been due to prior legal issues. The brothers’ apparent freedom to enter the northern border suggests that there are no limits in place, which raises more doubt about the Usos’ participation in the Elimination Chamber. This is due to Jimmy Usos’ ongoing DUI case, so Jey Uso might still make the event without his twin.
We will have to wait and see if Jimmy and Jey do appear for the show and become a decisive factor in the outcome of the main event between Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn.
