WWE Grand Slam Champion The Miz partook in the NBA celebrity game during next weekend’s All-Star events. The Miz played on Team Ryan for the 2023 NBA All-Star Weekend Ruffles Celebrity Basketball Game. The A-Lister would have won the game for his side had there been a few extra tenths of a second remaining.
The Miz played alongside his teammates, Kane Brown, Cordae, Diamond DeShields, Calvin Johnson, Marcos Mion, Everett Osborne, Ozuna, Albert Pujols, Guillermo Rodriguez, and Sinqua Walls. Team Ryan’s opponents, Team Dwyane, comprised Nicky Jam, Jesser, Simu Liu, DK Metcalf, Hasan Minhaj, Janelle Monae, Arike Ogunbowale, 21 Savage, Ranveer Singh, Frances Tiafoe, and Alex Toussaint.
On February 17th, 2023, The Miz attempted a half-court game-winning buzzer-beater in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, but it was waved off, and he was robbed of the win. His attempt at a buzzer-beater would have been the most significant moment in celebrity game history if it had counted since would have been a four-pointer.
Utah Jazz President Ryan Smith led Team Ryan. Minority owner Dwyane Wade spearheaded Team Dwyane. They obviously had a great time, no matter who won.
This week on Monday Night RAW, The Miz suffered a defeat at the hands of Rick Boogs. This was the second time The A-Lister had lost to Boogs in a span of three weeks.
While The Miz’s WrestleMania 39 plans are still unknown, it remains to be seen whether the decorated veteran can land himself in a noteworthy title feud on the Road To WrestleMania. Only time will tell what lies in store for The Miz at The Showcase Of Immortals come April.
