Kyle O’Reilly has subjected himself to extensive physical strain throughout his career, ultimately landing in AEW alongside numerous compatriots. He was absent for a long time due to his injury, and now it seems Tony Khan has provided an update on his status.
On January 11th, Adam Cole made a glorious return to AEW TV, thrilling fans with the news of his upcoming in-ring comeback. The celebrated wrestler had been sidelined for a prolonged period owing to concussions and a torn labrum, leaving fans eagerly anticipating his return. Cole’s triumphant comeback was met with a rapturous response, indicative of just how much he was missed during his absence.
That being said, fans started wondering what became of Kyle O’Reilly. O’Reilly underwent neck fusion surgery and it was expected that he would be out of action for a long time.
While speaking on In The Kliq, AEW President Tony Khan provided an update on Kyle O’Reilly’s recovery status. He stated that O’Reilly is definitely doing better at this point in time.
“He’s been doing better. Hopefully, we’ll look forward to getting him back but it’s a number of injuries and a tough recovery and really, really miss him and hopefully he’ll be back with us in AEW soon.”
We will have to wait and see how Kyle O’Reilly will be booked once he is back in AEW. For the time being, fans are simply waiting for his return, as he has a lot left to prove to everyone.
