Chris Jericho has given more than thirty years of his life to professional wrestling, which is why he is viewed as a very respected veteran. Jericho is hailed a proper locker room leader wherever he goes, including in AEW. He has worked with many pro wrestlers over the years, including CM Punk. In fact, Jericho recently stated that he always loved working with Punk.
CM Punk and Chris Jericho had one of the more memorable matches on a stacked WrestleMania 28 card. Throughout their feud, Jericho verbally and physically humiliated CM Punk. Y2J insulted his alcoholic father. He also poured alcohol down the straight-edge star’s mouth.
A fan recently took to Twitter and uploaded a photo of Punk and Jericho facing each other at WrestleMania 28. “Watching the @IAmJericho vs. @CMPunk match at WrestleMania 28 on Peacock now. Straight BANGER. Ocho and Punk, if by some miracle we see you guys back in WWE anytime soon, would love to see y’all run this back,” the fan said.
Chris Jericho saw the fan’s tweet and responded to it, stating that he always loved working with Punk.
I always loved working with @CMPunk
….
In fact, Chris Jericho even wanted to tattoo his initials on CM Punk during the feud. Of course, the idea was shot down in the end. Interestingly enough, Jericho also told the AEW locker room he’ll make sure CM Punk never returns.
Regardless, CM Punk could also return to AEW within the next couple of months. It remains to be seen what CM Punk will do for his future in professional wrestling.
