Cody Rhodes Acknowledges That Sami Zayn Is A Headliner

Sami Zayn has been part of the WWE family for almost a decade now and has consistently improved himself at every turn. Zayn has also managed to turn every single gimmick into pure gold, including his latest one regarding The Bloodline. In fact, even Cody Rhodes believes Sami Zayn is a headliner.

Sami Zayn’s storyline with The Bloodline remains the biggest in the company right now. In fact, it all imploded at the Royal Rumble, as Zayn betrayed Roman Reigns, which led to a huge beatdown.

Sami Zayn then received a huge match against Roman Reigns at Elimination Chamber on February 18th. In fact, the pro wrestling world is fully behind Sami Zayn as a legitimate main event talent.

While speaking with Sports Illustrated, Cody Rhodes talked about Zayn’s ability to become a headliner in the industry. Rhodes made it clear that he belives Zayn is a headliner.

“[Does Sami Zayn has what it takes to be a headliner in the business?] Well, I think Sami Zayn is a headliner. I think traditional constructs and all those things noise and numbers, you can never deny in the sports entertainment, the pro wrestling space. And Sami is just, has been off the charts. I think we’re heading into a situation with the Elimination Chamber where if Sami is able to leave his hometown with the championship, I’m more than happy to replace Roman’s space on that fire graphic that’s out there and that’s the nature of the sport and of the entertainment and the art that we offer is things can change,” 

Roman Reigns will defend his WWE Undisputed Universal Championship against Sami Zayn at the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event. We will have to wait and see how the storyline will progress, as we head towards WrestleMania 39.
