The Undertaker is a legend in the world of professional wrestling. His undefeated streak at WrestleMania remains one of the greatest streaks in the history of the business. He gave more than three decades of his life to the business, and The Undertaker’s contributions will never be forgotten. Brock Lesnar ended his WrestleMania streak and it seems Matt Hardy believes Lesnar was the right guy to end it.
The Undertaker’s streak came to an end at WrestleMania 30 in 2014, where he was defeated by Brock Lesnar. That move shook the pro wrestling world to its core. Due to this, his streak ended after 21 consecutive wins.
It has been nine years since the loss and it is still one of the most talked-about decisions in the history of professional wrestling. While many were against the decision to have Lesnar break it, others support it.
While speaking on The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, Matt Hardy talked about Lesnar breaking The Deadman’s WrestleMania streak. Hardy made it clear that he believes Lesnar was the right guy to end it.
“I think Brock is the guy that should have beat him. On top of Brock being such a legitimate badass [by] beating him, they got so much greatness out of Brock over the next ten years or so. So yeah, I think it was a good call.”
Even Jim Ross previously stated that The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak should have continued. The Deadman is currently enjoying life after retirement and fans will always appreciate him for all he did for the business.
