JD McDonagh Shows Up With An Eyepatch During WWE NXT

JD McDonagh was rolling with momentum until an unfortunate injury put him out of action. Tonight, the Irish Ace appeared on WWE NXT to confront an old nemesis, and that too with an eyepatch.

Tonight’s edition of NXT featured Ilja Dragunov in a backstage interview segment with McKenzie Mitchell. The Czar talked about his surprise return to the show last week. Trick Williams called out Dragunov to the ring.

The two entered into a brawl and Ilja knocked Trick out with an enzuigiri. JD McDonagh’s music hit and he came out wearing an eyepatch. The Irish Ace said Ilja tore the retina in McDonaghs’ right eye when he returned last week, but that would only make things worse for the former UK Champion.

Trick Williams took advantage of the distraction to take out Ilja Dragunov. JD McDonagh attempted to enter the ring, but changed his mind after Ilja got up on his feet. It appears that the feud between the two bitter rivals is far from over.
