The Hurt Business, composed of Bobby Lashley, MVP, Cedric Alexander, and Shelton Benjamin, made a lasting impact during their time in WWE. The group propelled the careers of its members to new heights and left a lasting legacy. However, like many WWE stables, the Hurt Business eventually disbanded in 2021, during an episode of Monday Night RAW, marking the end of an era. In fact, even MVP has no idea why McMahon broke up the faction.
Even Roman Reigns felt that the dissolution of The Hurt Business was untimely. Although there was a brief attempt at a reunion, it was ultimately short-lived, leaving fans with no expectation of a future return for the popular stable.
Bobby Lashley previously said the breakup ‘hurt his heart.’ On top of that, Bobby Lashley also promised a Hurt Business reunion. WWE has continued to drop hints regarding the faction’s return on Monday Night RAW in the past couple of weeks.
While speaking on Superstar Crossover with Z100’s Josh Martinez, MVP was asked about Vince McMahon deciding to break up the faction. MVP made it clear that he has no idea why McMahon broke up the faction, adding that it is above his pay grade.
Vince McMahon makes decisions. That’s way above my pay grade,” said MVP. “It was a decision that he made. Why he chose to do it? I have no idea, but it was his choice. He’s the boss — well, at the time, he was the boss, and that’s just how things go. We were all scratching our heads, but at the end of the day, I’m doing my best to try to get the team back together. Bobby’s being a little stubborn. I got Shelton and Cedric back on board with me, and I’m trying to get Bobby to come around. So, we’ll see if we can get The Hurt Business back in business.”
The Hurt Business’ return is not confirmed yet either. We will have to wait and see whether fans will get to see The Hurt Business reunite once again in the future.
