The drama going on in The Bloodline is one of the most popular angles on WWE television programming. From Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman laying the foundations, to The Usos and Solo Sikoa strengthening the faction and the unlikely addition of Sami Zayn, the program has been a perfect example of long-term storytelling. In the mid of all the tensions going on, an interesting statistic has surfaced, involving Jey Uso and Roman Reigns.
The Bloodline established their Island of Relevancy over Friday Night SmackDown. The dominant group bulldozed their way through everyone to keep their Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns on the top of the mountain with his championship reign intact.
However, ever since Sami Zayn was inducted into the stable as ‘The Honorary Uce’ things began to take a turn. Zayn’s addition lead to the beginning of some internal cracks in The Bloodline, with a big explosion that happened at the 2023 Royal Rumble event.
The end of the show saw Sami Zayn turning his back on Roman Reigns by landing a thunderous chair shot on his back and being dismantled by the Bloodline. However, moments after Zayn was incapacitated, Jey Uso walked out on his own family, leaving the audience even more shocked.
Jey Uso’s ongoing dilemma led to an interesting statistic surfacing on the internet regarding him and his cousin Roman Reigns. Jey Uso was the first superstar to pin Roman Reigns on WWE TV. On September 23rd, 2013, The Tribal Chief lost his first match on Monday Night RAW in an 11-on-3 elimination handicap match. Furthermore, Reigns was also the first person to be eliminated from the match, as seen in a video posted by r/Squared Circle on Reddit.
“Never forget, Jey Uso was the first guy to pin Roman Reigns in WWE.”
Roman Reigns and Jey Uso had one of the most memorable feuds back in 2020 when the former Big Dog had just returned to WWE from hiatus. We will have to wait and see if Jey Uso’s involvement would be seen in Roman Reigns vs Sami Zayn match at the upcoming WWE pay-per-view, Elimination Chamber.
