Sean Sapp reported that WWE broke another record last night. It was said that this week’s SmackDown at the Mohegan Sun in Connecticut was the highest-grossing event that WWE has ever held in that market.
Per internal WWE live events reports, last night’s WWE Smackdown at the Mohegan Sun in Connecticut was said to be the highest-grossing event in that market in WWE history.
WWE had a legit sellout in the venue this week, and higher ticket prices also played a part in that. This is also a hot time for WWE as the company is making mainstream headlines once again.
This is a pretty big deal, because WWE has held a ton of high-profile events in Connecticut in the past. After all, the company’s HQ is located in Stamford. Only time will tell what records WWE breaks in the future, but it’s likely that they will continue doing big numbers as their momentum builds on the road to WrestleMania.
