Randy Orton has been out of action since dropping the RAW Tag Team Titles to The Usos. We exclusively covered the fact that his tag team partner, Matt Riddle, is not currently factored into WWE’s WrestleMania plans, but The Viper could be preparing for something.
Randy Orton had lower back fusion surgery in November. Since then, he’s been taking it easy, but he still looks just as jacked as ever. However, there has been no update about The Viper’s return to the ring.
Pro wrestling bootmaker Jose G Sanz posted an Instagram story where he stated that Orton recently contacted him about making boots for his return to the ring. This came after so many fans have wondered and asked anyone they could about The Viper’s status.
In a response translated from Spanish, Sanz made it very clear that he has been in contact with Randy Orton recently.
“I haven’t made them yet but Randy Orton contacted me via email for his return. Currently, Drew McIntyre and Bray Wyatt are some of the biggest superstars. Today I received an order for boots for Cody for Wrestlemania.”
WWE had some interesting plans for RK-Bro, but Randy Orton’s injury and Matt Riddle’s Wellness Policy failure in December derailed that. Only time will tell if they can get something together on the road to WrestleMania, but this is certainly a good sign that Orton is moving in the right direction.
