There is always a bit of contract news going around AEW. This is no different as the company has locked down two of their champions.
Austin and Colton Gunn just won the AEW World Tag Team Championships from The Acclaimed on AEW Dynamite. That win was rather controversial, but it happened nonetheless. Now, it seems that they are going to stick around Tony Khan’s company.
According to Sean Sapp of Fightful Select, The Gunns have inked new deals with AEW. It was not noted exactly how long their new deals are, but this came at a good time for ther careers.
Fightful Select has confirmed that both Austin and Colten Gunn recently re-signed with All Elite Wrestling, and will remain with the company. An exact set of terms for the deal were not revealed, although we can confirm that the two both signed multi-year deals. Austin Gunn signed with AEW back in January of 2020, but there was never an official announcement of when Colten was brought into the company.
We will have to see how this situation turns out for The Gunns as AEW World Tag Team Champions. They took the titles from The Acclaimed, who are still very popular, and might want to chase those titles. Then again, FTR could always surprise us again with another return.
