Chris Masters had a nice run in WWE, but that time is behind him. It doesn’t sound like he is keen about making a return to Vince McMahon’s company, either. The Masterpiece recently spoke his piece about the situation, and he compared his experience to a “bad marriage.”

Since his release from WWE, Chris Masters kept going. He hits indie wrestling dates on a frequent basis, and even gets some huge overseas bookings as well. That elusive WWE return still has not transpired, yet, it is still a popular topic of conversation for fans.

While speaking to So Catch, Chris Masters said that he feels as if he’s been “exiled” from WWE. He was released from WWE in 2011, and has been passed up on many occasions when reunions or special appearances could have come his way.

“It’s like a bad marriage at that point,” he remarked about his relationship with Vince McMahon’s company. He later mentioned that he would like to create an “oh sh*t” moment in pro wrestling with his WWE return, but that hasn’t come to pass yet.

“I don’t ever feel like I’m coming back to WWE full-time. For me, it would be great to just come back to the Rumble to sort of make amends with certain people in the company, but to also show the WWE Universe the polished performer that I’ve become.”

Only time will tell if Chris Masters ever makes his return to WWE. At this point, it doesn’t seem likely, but stranger things have happened in pro wrestling, especially in the last couple of years.

Chris Masters is now working as Chris Adonis on the indies, and he’s in great shape. The Masterpiece was also recently spotted at AEW’s LA event, but it was a fan in the crowd.
