Ilja Dragunov Returns During WWE NXT

Ilja Dragunov was put on the shelf by JD McDonagh. Tonight, the Czar made his return to NXT and took out the man who was responsible for him missing out several months of action on the white and gold brand.

JD McDonagh took on Carmelo Hayes in singles competition tonight on NXT. The two performers put on a solid performance for the crowd in attendance and at home watching.

The Irish Ace was moments away from getting the decisive win over Hayes when Dragunov’s music hit. An extremely livid Czar took out Trick Williams with a diving headbutt.

The distraction allowed Carmelo Hayes to pick up the win over McDonagh. Dragunov entered the ring and hit another diving headbutt on his longtime rival. McDonagh, however, left the ring to avoid another beating.

Ilja Dragunov was removed from NXT television after his match against McDonagh in November 2022. It remains to be seen when will The Czar get his revenge on his longtime rival.
