Seth Rollins is one of the most charismatic and dynamic WWE superstars of this generation. The Drip God has been a cornerstone for the company in the modern era and is now looking to help in the development of stars for the long-term future of WWE. However, his latest comments about the former WWE superstar CM Punk prompted wrestling veteran Jim Cornette to claim that it was a wrong move.

Seth Rollins recently called out CM Punk to stay away from the global juggernaut, and he noted that Punk was “cancer” in the process. For the record, Matt Hardy thought that was hilarious.

It seems like that did not sit well with wrestling veteran Jim Cornette. The former WWE manager stated that Rollins was acting childish about the whole situation, during the latest episode of the Jim Cornette’s Drive Thru.

“That was such a childish and comical cartoon way of saying it, that it sounded more like a bad wrestling promo. Plus, he’s standing there looking like he’s plugged into the f**king wall socket. Made me look like I was constantly attending funerals everywhere I went when I was a manager.” (03:19 onward)

Seth Rollins’s current character tends to be a narcissist on WWE television programming. While many fans believe that he cut the promo in character, there is some section of people who claim that Rollins’ comments about CM Punk were genuine.

CM Punk has been away from AEW programming ever since the fiasco went down with The Elite faction back at the 2022 AEW: All Out pay-per-view. While The Elite came back to television, Punk’s status remains currently unknown.

Seth Rollins on the other hand remains a key fixture on Monday Night RAW. We will have to wait and see if the Best in the World does decide to respond to Rollins’ comments and ignite the issue further.
