The wrestling industry has seen various upcoming athletes who were positioned to be the next breakout stars of top promotions by the management. However, their lack of skill or connection with the audience derailed their push and ultimately led to their exit. One such name in this list is the former WWE superstar Alex Riley. But A-Ry recently came back to the squared circle and is set to make his debut in another major promotion as well.
Alex Riley stayed away from the wrestling scene for nearly seven years, right after his WWE exit. But Riley finally came out of obscurity and returned to the squared circle recently at Create A Pro’s Holiday Toy Drive event.
The former WWE superstar teamed up with NWA World Heavyweight Champion Tyrus to prevail over the duo of Dante Drago and Jack Tomlinson in tag team action. Following this explosive return, it can be said that Alex Riley might have got his mojo back to restart his wrestling career again.
Furthermore, Alex Riley is now set to make his debut in the NWA promotion. Riley will wrestle his first match for the company at their Nuff Said pay-per-view, battling an old friend in EC3.
Alex Riley came to prominence in WWE, primarily for his work as The Miz’s protégé around the early 2010s. He even tried his hand in other non-wrestling roles and as a singles competitor but was eventually released by the company in May 2016.
A-Ry’s return to the ring on a major like the NWA will surely be an exciting sight to watch, especially after almost seven years. The NWA Nuff Said pay-per-view is set to take place at the Egypt Shrine Center in Tampa, Florida, on Saturday, February 11th, and will stream live on Fite TV.
