WWE’s NXT brand held their Vengeance Day special this weekend, and it was quite a show. Charlotte saw a big event as WWE’s developmental brand hit the road for their first big event outside Orlando in two years as they took over the Spectrum Center. The event came with some surprises, but no big debuts took place. There’s a reason why Dragon Lee wasn’t there.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer brought up the fact that WWE didn’t have any new NXT talent debut during Vengeance Day. In the past, incoming talent would be seen sitting at ringside, but that was not the case this time around.

Dragon Lee inked a deal with WWE to start with NXT, but he wasn’t in Charlotte for the event. It was noted that the reason for his continued absence fell on visa issues.

Yeah, they didn’t, you know they’re relying — they’re not relying on bringing in so many indie guys. I’m sure they wanted to introduce Dragon Lee, but he’s having visa issues, so he’s not there yet.

Dragon Lee was a surprising signing for WWE, and he could do a lot in the company. Only time will tell when he finally shows up on NXT television, but he has some red tape to get out of the way first.

Hopefully, WWE will be able to fix Dragon Lee’s visa issues. They’ve helped many talented wrestlers out in the past who had problems wrestling in the United States. Until that happens, keep checking back with Ringside News for more.
