Jon Moxley has been regarded as one of the most dangerous and lethal in-ring competitors in the wrestling industry. The Unhinged star is known for his rough style and exceptional in-ring acumen and experience inside the squared circle. He has been involved in the business for a long time now and recently revealed what keeps him going without any stops in his career.
Jon Moxley has been a constant fixture for the majority of his AEW career, joining the company in 2019. Moxley was asked what the best part about being inside the ring was and why he chooses not to take a break, during an appearance on The Justin Kinner Show.
“If I were smart, I would try to get the most amount of money for the least amount of work possible, but believe it or not, in professional wrestling, I used to do it on purpose and for free, and still do because I enjoy it. It’s recreation for me as much as anything else. What else are you going to do with your time? It’s the coolest job in the world. Some people like to go golfing, I like to step into a cage and attack people with weapons and stab people with sharp things. There is really no other level of adrenaline you can reach at a certain point when you’ve been doing this as long as I have. I need it for my soul to get out there and get loose and get a good sweat on. Get a little blood coming from my eyebrow, it’s relaxing to me. I enjoy pro wrestling.”
The former AEW World champion proclaimed that he found pleasure in attacking other superstars with sharp objects and weapons. This is highly indicative of Jon Moxley’s hardcore style that he has followed for the entire duration of his career.
Jon Moxley started his wrestling career on the independent circuit in the early 2000s. It was not until 2011 that Moxley made his way to the global juggernaut of wrestling, WWE, and rose to prominence as a member of ‘The Shield’ alongside Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns.
Outside of the faction, Moxley also carved out a successful run as a singles competitor in WWE, winning multiple championships and accolades. However, he left the promotion in April 2019 and joined a rival competitor, AEW in May of the same year.
Since 2019, Jon Moxley has been one of the top AEW stars, reigning as a three-time AEW World champion. With Moxley’s love for the business and mindset of achieving more, it looks like the fury of the Unhinged Violence won’t be stopping in AEW anytime soon.
