AEW President Tony Khan is known for a lot of things, which includes his passion for pro wrestling. His passion for the business is certainly not something fans doubt, either. That being said, Khan has changed up his booking layout in ways to help stories in AEW.

One of the key aspects of AEW is certainly its long-term storytelling. The company has been touted as one that always listens to what the fans want, and it seems Khan lives by this belief.

AEW and ROH owner Tony Khan has repeatedly claimed that he has been passionately planning and organizing professional wrestling shows since his childhood. He would write down his ideas for matches and segments in a notebook.

Even now, Tony Khan continues to work on storylines with that same level of dedication and creativity. His extensive experience has resulted in highly anticipated and well-received events in both AEW and ROH.

While speaking on WTF With Marc Maron, Tony Khan talked bout how he has changed up his booking layout in ways to help stories in AEW, among other things.

“I had a process, I already had a schedule of what I had planned week to week in different stories with different matches and segments. At some point, I just inverted it. I realized I should tip this over. Instead of looking at the dates and building it out, I kind of flipped what the column was and what the rows were, and put the columns where the rows were, and now I organize everything like this since Full Gear, and now I feel like I’m more organized, even though it’s all the same information, it’s just looking at it differently. It really helps.

I was already doing that, and we kind of had that, but I had it the other way where it was looking at the shows and I had where the columns were, and out here were the different wrestlers and stories. For some reason, and I don’t know why, it shouldn’t make that big of a difference flipping it. The flow, working down the page, it looks a lot better and works a lot better. It’s basically the same thing I was doing, I just flipped the page around, and it’s helped me be even more organized.”

In addition to his organizational skills, Tony Khan praised the talented roster of AEW for delivering outstanding performances on both AEW Dynamite and AEW Rampage on a weekly basis. He expressed his gratitude towards the fans for their unwavering support of AEW. We’ll have to see what’s next in store for AEW fans.
