Brandi Rhodes has gained notoriety as a divisive figure in the world of professional wrestling, attracting criticism and polarizing opinions in AEW. Despite this, her detractors remain numerous, and their grievances remain valid. It’s been a while since she has wrestled, and it seems Rhodes is happy about taking a break from in-ring action.
Brandi Rhodes was both an in-ring wrestler and the Chief Brand Officer of AEW. She and Cody Rhodes departed from AEW in February 2022, and since then, she has not joined another professional wrestling company.
Brandi Rhodes worked in WWE as a ring announcer under the name of Eden Stiles. Rhodes would also compete as an in-ring competitor from time to time, especially in AEW. However, she hasn’t done that after becoming a mother.
While speaking to BARE magazine, Brandi Rhodes was asked why she chose to step away from the wrestling business last year and whether she will ever return. Rhodes made it clear she is happy about her decision to step away from the ring.
“It has been about a year. I feel very good about the decision. There was a lot about my position in the industry that took a lot of the joy out of it for me. Life is too short to be fighting so hard and still left feeling unfulfilled. Especially with everything that I have to offer still mentally and physically. I’d like to experience joy in my contributions at this point.”
We will have to wait and see when Brandi Rhodes will finally return to WWE and accompany her husband Cody Rhodes. It is likely that fans won’t really care all that much when she returns in the end.
