The 2023 Royal Rumble lived up to its hype and buildup and proved to be one of the most exciting editions in the history of the show. From surprise returns to bizarre moments and a shocking betrayal, the event kicked off a great start to the road to WrestleMania 39 in Hollywood. Now, WWE announced some major news regarding the Rumble fallout for tonight’s edition of Monday Night RAW and also for the last stop before WrestleMania, which is the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.
The first announcement made by Byron Saxton on Twitter will see the winner of the Women’s Royal Rumble match Rhea Ripley announcing which champion she will face at WrestleMania 39. The Eradicator, who won the match from the #1 spot, will make her choice clear for the championship she is eyeing at the Showcase of the Immortals.
Furthermore, The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes will open the show and reflect on his return from injury and subsequent victory in the Men’s Royal Rumble match. Cody will challenge for the Undisputed WWE Universal championship and will address his plans on the road to WrestleMania.
Byron Saxton also announced plans for the upcoming WWE pay-per-view, Elimination Chamber. Saxton announced that Austin Theory will defend his WWE United States championship inside the hazardous structure. Moreover, two qualifying matches have also been set in stone for tonight’s edition of RAW.
The first Elimination Chamber qualifying match will see Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins compete against Alpha Academy member Chad Gable. Whereas, the second qualifying match will see the recently returned Johnny Gargano battle against the Modern Day Wrestling God Baron Corbin. Here is the complete line-up announced for tonight’s show.
