Brock Lesnar is certainly one of the most decorated and accomplished pro wrestlers in the history of the industry. He has achieved everything a WWE Superstar would ever want in his career, including winning the Royal Rumble match on two different occasions. He was not able to do it during last night’s Rumble match, but a match was teased for WrestleMania. That being said, it seems Lesnar vs GUNTHER is not the current plan for WrestleMania 39.

Last night’s Premium Live Event began with the Men’s Royal Rumble match, featuring top wrestlers fighting for a chance to book their ticket for the main event of WrestleMania 39. The company teased a few possible directions, but Brock Lesnar’s face-to-face with GUNTHER isn’t supposed to go further.
Brock Lesnar entered the Men’s Royal Rumble match at number 12 and quickly engaged Sheamus and Drew McIntyre. He overpowered his opponents with several suplexes and then eliminated Santos Escobar.
Brock Lesnar then had a brief confrontation with GUNTHER before Bobby Lashley came out and eventually eliminated Brock Lesnar. While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that the current plan for Lesnar will see him face off against Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania 39 and not GUNTHER.
It’s possible they could do Lesnar vs Lashley at Elimination Chamber and Lesnar vs GUNTHER at WrestleMania. I can check on this again and I will, but I was pretty much told no Lesnar and GUNTHER. I have not been told no Lesnar and Lashley, but Lesnar and Lashley is the one they’re pushing hard. Yeah, he could do one for each show, but it certainly felt like the Lashley one is th one theyr’e building up. The GUNTHER one felt like a tease, they felt like something for someday we got this in our pocket, the Lashley one felt like ‘this is a WrestleMania.’
We will have to wait and see how WWE will be booking Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar’s feud in the coming weeks. After all, WrestleMania 39 is only a little over two months away now.
