Goldberg was one of the biggest names in WCW. Ever since his debut, Goldberg was pushed to the moon. He went on an unprecedented undefeated streak and even won the WCW Championship. Following WCW’s demise, Goldberg went over to WWE where he quickly won the World Heavyweight Championship and was even considered one of the top guys in the company at one point. However, after spending a few years with the company, Goldberg decided to leave.

Following his departure from WWE, Goldberg tried his hand at other ventures besides wrestling. He acted in a few television series and movies and even served as a television host.

However, many fans were left wondering why TNA never signed Goldberg despite them having a reputation for signing ex-WWE guys.

On a recent episode of his podcast My World with Jeff Jarrett, the WWE Hall of Famer said that Dixie Carter had a few meetings with him but there wasn’t anything substantial about it because they didn’t have the money to sign him at the time.

“Not at this point. Dixie [Carter] had a lunch with him several years later that I think you could classify on Dixie’s part for sure, substantially. I don’t think on Bill’s part.

Bill made a lot of money in WCW and made a lot of money at WWE. Bill’s a businessman first and foremost. I never viewed any of the conversations with Bill as substantial strictly off of there isn’t enough money for Bill to come,” Jeff said.

Goldberg returned to the WWE after several years to recapture the Universal Championship. He last competed against Roman Reigns at WWE Elimination Chamber last year in a losing effort. Stay tuned to Ringside News as we bring you similar stories.
