The 2023 Royal Rumble is the upcoming 36th annual Royal Rumble professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by WWE. It will be held for wrestlers from the promotion’s RAW and SmackDown brand divisions. The event will take place on Saturday, January 28th, 2023, at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas as part of the Alamodome’s 30th-anniversary celebration. It will be the fourth Royal Rumble event to be held in San Antonio after the 1997, 2007, and 2017 events and the third to take place at the Alamodome, following 1997 and 2017. -Men’s Royal Rumble matchup will open the show.
-Mountain Dew Pitch Black matchup between Bray Wyatt and LA Knight is second.
-Bianca Belair defending the Raw Women’s Title against Alexa Bliss is third.
-Women’s Royal Rumble is fourth.
-Musical performance by HARDY
-Kevin Owens vs. Roman Reigns for the Undisputed Universal title will headline.
The winners of both the men’s and women’s matches receive a choice of which world championship to challenge for at WrestleMania 39.
According to the betting odds, Cody Rhodes is the favorite to win the 30-Man Royal Rumble match, while Rhea Ripley is the odds-on favorite to win the career-defining women’s bout. Of course, there is also a lot of chatter about Sami Zayn winning the big match.
