Wardlow quickly emerged as a popular name in All Elite Wrestling. He held the TNT Championship for an extended period and gained a large fan base in a short amount of time. That being said, he is currently out of action due to injury, which explains his television absence.

Wardlow has beaten numerous top stars in AEW so far. Due to his near-limitless potential, many believe that he is certainly destined for greatness. This especially means becoming a big deal in the pro wrestling world.

The former TNT Champion lost the title to Samoa Joe last year, shocking fans all over the world. Even in their rematch, it was Samoa Joe who ultimately toppled Wardlow, and then the Ward-Dog vanished.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Wardlow was written off AEW television as he is currently suffering from an injury. That being said, he will not be out of action for long.

When Wardlow did the match where Samoa Joe took out his leg, the reason he hasn’t been back for revenge and dropped the TNT title is due to an injury issue. The stuff with Joe was done to set up his taking time off. The injury is not believed to be one that will keep him out of action for a long time.

We will have to wait and see how Wardlow is booked on AEW television once he is able to make his in-ring return. He was once positioned as a top name for the company, before it seemed that Tony Khan got distracted with other stars. Until we see Wardlow again, fans will simply have to wait for his return.
