WWE first teased the return of Lacey Evans with a new gimmick on the December 2, 2022, edition of SmackDown. The video package showed Evans engaged in several military drills.
She teased her new finisher, the cobra clutch (a move popularized by WWE Hall of Famer Sgt. Slaughter), during the vignettes as well. The final package prior to her debut was dubbed Mission Cobra Clutch.
Lacey Evans finally made her in-ring return during SmackDown this week. She squared off against a local enhancement talent. Evans won the match with a cobra clutch.
For those wondering about Lacey Evan’s opponent, her name is Jazmin Allure. The 22-year-old recently made her WOW wrestling debut. She has made several appearances for AEW as well as WWE Main Event.
