The 2023 Royal Rumble is set to take place on January 28 from the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. Like every year, this year’s event is headlined by the two Royal Rumble matches – one for the men and one for the women. Apart from this, WWE has an exciting show planned with the first-ever pitch black match. Kevin Owens will also look to dethrone Roman Reigns and become the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. And it looks like fans are excited about the build-up to the show.
WWE SmackDown will take place this Friday from the Sames Auto Arena in Laredo, Texas and according to WrestleTix, the show is almost sold out. It was reported that SmackDown this week has sold 4804 tickets and there are only 717 tickets left.
Given the fact that there is still one more day to go, there is a high chance that SmackDown will be sold out before the show begins on Friday. These ticket numbers shouldn’t come as a surprise though.
SmackDown has been putting on a pretty good show consistently. To add to this, everything that has been going on with Sami Zayn, The Bloodline, and Kevin Owens could be a big reason for these ticket numbers.
Another interesting storyline on the blue brand is the Bray Wyatt/Uncle Howdy storyline that has been going on for months. Fans will tune in this Friday to see what the Eater of Worlds has to say.
This week’s episode of WWE SmackDown promises to be an exciting night of action with quite a number of interesting matches announced for the show. Stay tuned to Ringside News for live coverage of the show. The updated match card for the event is as follows:
Rey Mysterio vs. Karrion Kross
Drew McIntyre & Sheamus vs. Hit Row
Legado Del Fantasma vs. Imperium
Kevin Owens vs. Solo Sikoa
