Raquel Rodriguez dominated the women’s division during her time in Triple H’s version of NXT. She got called to the main roster in 2022 and made an impact upon arrival. Now, she’s looking to win the biggest match of her career to date: the Royal Rumble.
The 2023 Royal Rumble premium live event will go down at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, this Saturday. The event will feature multiple matches including the Women’s Royal Rumble match.
Raquel Rodriguez will be competing for the first-time inside the Women’s Royal Rumble match this Saturday. Speaking to The Bump, the powerhouse said her entire family will be in San Antonio for the event.
“I’m feeling everything: nerves, excitement. Yeah, [I’m doing] my nervous dance. This is what I do when I get excited. I’m feeling everything because it’s my first-ever Royal Rumble, the first one I’ll be participating in. And it’s in San Antonio, which is just a couple hours north of where I grew up and where I was raised, so my whole family is going to be here. My cousins are going to be here. My teammates are going to be here. My coaches are going to be here.”
Raquel will be joined by Liv Morgan, Candie LeRae, Rhea Ripley, Shayna Baszler, Zelina Vega, Emma, and 23 other women in the rumble match. The winner will go on to challenge for either the RAW or the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 39.
