Dax Harwood and his partner, Cash Wheeler are perhaps one of the greatest tag teams in professional wrestling today. The duo, together known as FTR is a resident tag team in All Elite Wrestling while spreading their domination across other promotions as well. Furthermore, Dax has now begun to explore the world of podcasting and recently revealed ideas given by WWE superstar, Edge for a feud with a tag team much before their official AEW debut.
Edge is credited as one of the most accomplished and highly talented WWE superstars of all time. The WWE Hall of Famer is on his second run with the company, returning to in-ring competition after nine years away due to injury.
Edge currently pursues his role as a tenured in-ring veteran. He has worked with various young talents such as Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, and Roman Reigns in an attempt to establish them further as megastars for the future of WWE.
Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler are known to be really close acquaintances of the Rated-R superstar in real life. The trio is often spotted together hanging out with Harwood and Wheeler looking up to Edge as an inspiration.
However, Dax Harwood recently revealed that Edge had given a lot of ideas to FTR for a possible angle with Nick and Matt Jackson, known as The Young Bucks even before they arrived at AEW. He spoke about this during the latest episode of his “FTR with Dax Harwood,” podcast.
“I’d actually talked to Edge about the angle before we even went to AEW. I was like, ‘How can I make this angle personal’, and he gave me all these ideas about how we can say that we left the biggest company in the world to come find them. They were too scared to come to the biggest company because they may be relegated to a lower level because they will be exposed because of us. He is just so freakin smart, Adam, that is, Edge. So smart. But yeah, I’ve been thinking about this match for a very, very long time.”
Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler have become top-tier tag teams in Tony Khan’s AEW. On the other hand, Edge is currently off WWE television programming, last seen in October at WWE Extreme Rules 2022, where he lost to Finn Balor in an “I Quit match.”
