Brie Bella and Nikki Bella are WWE Hall of Famers and undoubtedly one of the most popular female duos in the history of the company. After making her WWE debut alongside Nikki Bella in 2008, the Bella twins wasted no time in becoming highlights of the promotion. That being said, they will always be grateful for all the women who came before them. Now it seems Nikki Bella has addressed the #WWEWomenDeserveBetter trending on social media after this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW.

This week’s episode of Monday Night RAW celebrated the 30th anniversary of WWE’s flagship show. There were quite a few notable absences from the show, especially when it came to female legends.

Nikki Bella and Brie Bella expressed their disappointment with how WWE did not book any women legends for the show and barely had any presence throughout the 3-hour-long runtime. Even the steel cage match between Becky Lynch and Bayley had to be nixed due to time constraints, which drew the ire of many.

This led to the #WWEWomenDeserveBetter trending on social media. While speaking in an Instagram video, Nikki Bella addressed the hashtag trending on social media and thanked fans for all the support.

“I also love the fans for sticking up for women. There are so many crybabies, ‘Oh they just wine.’ Let me tell you why people get upset. This is speaking on behalf of the majority of women. ‘Oh, they always make it about them.’ No, just because we speak up, we’re not making it about ourselves. It’s about the women from the very beginning to the ones that are there. I understand why so many people are upset, especially our fans, when it’s something like Raw 30. I remember when I first started watching Raw, as you all know, some of you like to give me shit that I wasn’t a fan the day I was born.

I was obsessed with the matches with Beth Phoenix, Candice Michelle, Melina, Mickie James. That, for me and my era of wrestling when I became a fan, that was Raw to me. People have all their own memories, and that’s why it’s so important to have women represent because, for so many of the fans, they have their different eras of Chyna, Lita and Trish (Stratus), Melina, Mickie, Michelle (McCool), Beth, Candice (Michelle), those incredible women of that era. Then, our era with AJ (lee), Paige, Brie and I, and so on. I love that you’re doing the hashtag and you’re going to see a lot of narratives play because people have to protect themselves and you’re going to get a lot of women blamed and people calling them crybabies. No, we put in just as much effort and work. All those women do, all of them, from every era. Not just women, men too.”

The Bella Twins did not show up at RAW is XXX due to creative differences. They didn’t like how WWE didn’t represent the Women’s Revolution during the show. Saraya was also supportive o their decision to not attend the show.

We will have to see what’s next for WWE’s Women’s Division. Triple H tried to do more for the division, but there is still a lot left to be done by the looks of it.
