The 30th anniversary of Monday Night RAW was nothing short of a mixed bag, covering thirty years of the flagship show’s history. RAW originally debuted on January 11th, 1993. Since the first episode, RAW has been broadcast live from 208 different arenas, 171 cities and towns, and ten different nations. The list includes United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Afghanistan, Iraq, South Africa, Germany Japan, Italy, and Mexico. The RAW Is XXX special emanated from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The company was also very happy about how things went down.

RAW Is XXX came with its own hiccups. The introductory speech from Hulk Hogan was riddled with microphone issues, while The Tribal Court segment ran longer than its allotted time. As a result of The Bloodline segment going overboard, WWE had to make some quick changes on the fly.

The adjustments led to WWE nixing the Steel Cage match between Becky Lynch and Bayley. Instead, a beatdown was carried out that saw Damage CTRL decimate Lynch, thereby derailing the scheduled match. Becky Lynch was supposed to win that match, and a hashtag full of unhappy WWE fans cried out that WWE Women Deserve Better.

Furthermore, WWE didn’t deliver the Philly Street Fight between Seth Rollins and Austin Theory. Brock Lesnar’s appearance was considered the penultimate treat for fans, and the match was scrapped.

According to Fightful Select, “people of influence” in WWE were happy with how the 30th anniversary of WWE RAW turned out. It is to be noted that Vince McMahon wasn’t present on the show.

We’re told that people of influence within the company were very happy with how Raw turned out.

RAW Is XXX also drew the highest domestic gate in the entire 30-year history of WWE RAW. The announced attendance for the special show was a sellout of 16,975. We will have to see how WWE tops that, but RAW Is XXX provided an incredible go-home show before the 2023 Royal Rumble event.
