Jay Briscoe died in a tragic car wreck, and the entire pro wrestling world reacted with a massive tribute. AEW did what they could for Briscoe during Dynamite last week, but WarnerMedia’s previous mandate wouldn’t allow Tony Khan to pay proper tribute. That will change this week.

Mark Briscoe will be on AEW Dynamite this week for a match that will undoubtably be an emotional one. Mark Briscoe will face Jay Lethal in an AEW ring, and Jay Briscoe will be smiling from above.

Sean Sapp of Fightful reported that AEW brought in extra talent for AEW Dynamite this week when it was revealed that Mark Briscoe will be a part of this week’s show. It was not noted who AEW is bringing into Lexington, Kentucky, but Tony Khan is known to go all out for tributes.

There were some names that were brought in last minute yesterday when it was announced Mark Briscoe would be on the show.

We will have to see how the Jay Briscoe tribute turns out on AEW Dynamite. It’s great that Warner Media allowed AEW to do this, but also incredibly sad that Jay Briscoe never got to perform on AEW Dynamite due to those insensitive tweets, ones he worked hard to make right in the years that followed.

Keep checking back with Ringside News as we continue monitoring this ongoing situation.
