Eric Bischoff is a WWE Hall of Famer who certainly has a strong opinion when it comes to the world of professional wrestling. That being said, he remains a controversial figure and not everyone agrees with what he has to say. He also called out Dave Meltzer for one of his reports about Mark Briscoe. It seems that Meltzer’s report about WarnerMedia prohibiting Mark Briscoe’s AEW appearances was a little too early, because WarnerMedia changed their minds and now Meltzer is getting dragged for it.
The pro wrestling community was deeply saddened by the passing of Jay Briscoe at the age of 38. His death continues to be a sad topic for many, as Briscoe was truly loved by many and his passing hurt many people
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer recently reported WarnerBros Discovery would not even allow Mark Briscoe on AEW television, even after his brother Jay Briscoe passed away.
However, AEW would then announce that Mark Briscoe is set to appear in a match on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. Dave Meltzer then took to Twitter and defended his initial report, stating that his report was not inaccurate at the time of reporting.
It wasn’t incorrect at the time as noted by the situation just changing today. And if you listened, I said the situation could change. Imagine trying to use this as a gotcha rather than be happy the decision was changed.
Eric Bischoff, who has a rocky relationship with Dave Meltzer, took to Twitter and called him out for incorrectly reporting Mark Briscoe’s AEW status.
But did you bother to get confirmation from both WB execs and AEW? If you did, than things do happen fast and it’s possible there was a 180 degree turn if events overnight. If you didn’t and went with the story. Well, you know #UsefulIdiot
Mark Briscoe has already broken his silence following his brother’s passing. He seems to be doing the best that he can, while having faith that he will see his brother again. Regardless, we will have to wait and see how Mark Briscoe will fare in his AEW debut match this week.
