Emma returned to WWE last year with an aim to rise above the entire women’s division with her in-ring acumen and talent. The Australian star has made a huge name for herself in various promotions, right after a successful start in WWE. She is gearing up to participate in her first-ever Royal Rumble match this weekend and is looking to go all in to claim the glory.
Emma was involved in the wrestling business from an early age, being introduced to the sport by her brother Jake in Australia. She then went on to train with Lance Storm before beginning her career in American promotions.
After making an impact on the indie scene, Emma signed with WWE in 2011. She has been considered as one of the early trailblazers of the Women’s Revolution, after her amazing in-ring encounter with fellow star Paige back in NXT in 2012.
The Australian star came up to the main roster in 2014 and was looking to become a marquee star after her success in NXT. Despite being featured in a few notable television angles, Emma failed to captivate the audience and was released from WWE in 2017.
Emma came back to the company in 2022 after rejuvenating her career in outside promotions. She recently posted on Twitter about her excitement to compete in the 2023 Royal Rumble match, with this being her first opportunity to participate in the Over-The-Top-Rope melee. Emma looks to be fully focused and not taking this chance for granted.
“My first Royal Rumble ever!!! ❤️ I grew up watching Royal Rumbles but 10 years ago when I started with @WWE , the Women’s #RoyalRumble didn’t exist. I returned for a reason. You better believe I won’t be taking this for granted!’
Emma returned to WWE under the creative regime of WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H. She has all the potential to ascend to the top of the mountain and looking at her confidence and dedication, it looks like this Saturday could be the night for Emma to begin her dream run in the company.
