Brian Cage’s AEW Contract Will Expire Soon

Brian Cage improved his craft in various promotions before making his way to AEW. The Machine is certainly a very talented in-ring performer, especially for a man of his size. Cage has been back to AEW television for a while now. That being said, he hasn’t been seen for a while and most would argue that he’s been greatly underutilized. Now, it seems his contract with AEW will expire soon.

Brian Cage was feuding with Team Taz after he was betrayed by them back in July 2021. Cage was usually regularly featured on AEW television, but his wife, Melissa Santos, isn’t a fan of his booking. This led to her ranting about it and got heat on him as well.

Brian Cage would then be gone from AEW television for a very long time until reappearing during a Ring Of Honor pay-per-view. He eventually went on to have some solid matches but nothing more than that.

According to Sean Ross Sapp behind Fightful’s paywall, Brian Cage’s contract is set to expire in a matter of weeks and it is not known whether he has signed a new deal with AEW.

Brian Cage signed with AEW in 2020, and his current deal is set to expire unless an extension is reached, Fightful has learned. Cage’s contract is set to expire in a matter of weeks, Fightful Select has learned. Cage’s deal was set to expire last year as well, before his option year was picked up by All Elite Wrestling. We were told at the time that Cage was pleasantly surprised as he didn’t expect to have his option picked up after not being on TV for months

Cage is currently one-third of the current ROH Six-Man Tag Team Champions with Kaun and Toa Liona. We will have to wait and see whether Brian Cage will stick with AEW in the end.
