Sammy Guevara & Tay Melo Called Out For Copying Another AEW Couple

Sammy Guevara and Tay Melo tied the knot on August 8, 2022. The two became part of the Jericho Appreciation Society as well. Now, they are getting called out for copying the gimmick of another AEW couple.

Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford are another real-life couple that has been regularly featured on AEW television. Recently, the two appeared together for a virtual signing with Captain’s Corner.

The duo noted that they were open to feuding with Sammy Guevara and Tay Melo, adding that Sammy and Tay were copying the gimmicks that Kip and Penelope had prior to Kip’s injury.

“Of course. Why wouldn’t we? Let’s get down to brass tacks here, let’s be brutally honest. They are basically doing the characters that we did prior to my injury. Let’s be serious.”

Penelope Ford chimed in by saying that Sammy Guevara and Tay Melo were the “carbon copy” of their previous gimmicks in AEW. Kip Sabian said that it was up to Sammy and Tay if they wanted to feud with him and Penelope.
