WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle is undoubtedly one of the best pro wrestlers to have ever graced a pro wrestling ring. The success he saw during his rookie year in WWE is still without equal. Angle had matches with some of the greats throughout his pro wrestling journey. He could have excellent matches with just about anyone in pro wrestling, but it seems Goldberg might not have been one of them.

The Olympic Gold Medallist earned several accolades throughout his career, including becoming a multi-time World Champion. Angle has also faced many legendary pro wrestlers in his career.

His most notable opponents include the likes of Rey Mysterio, Shawn Michaels, Eddie Guerrero and many more. That being said, Angle and Goldberg had never faced each other in a singles match.

The only time they were in the ring together was during the 2004 WWE Royal Rumble match. While speaking on The Kurt Angle Show, Kurt Angle talked about never facing Goldberg. Angle stated that he believes he’d never have a good match with Goldberg.

“Oh! Listen, man, he brings it! This guy, he is all strength and power, and he used every bit of it. I don’t even know if he knows how to let up. I mean, this guy is one stiff son of a gun! But rightfully so. I mean, that’s what he was taught at WCW. He’d only have two/three-minute matches, you know? So, he was a dominating wrestler.”

WWE was also reluctant to give Goldberg a part-time deal. Goldberg also confirmed he will wrestle again. We will have to wait and see whether Goldberg will return to WWE this year.
