Elias made his return to Monday Night RAW last year and since then, he has been paired up with Matt Riddle. Fans have been enjoying their current pairing up as well. That being said, things haven’t been great for The Drifter, and WWE was recently called out for burying Elias.

Vince Russo has talked about Elias’ potential while also pointing out that WWE appears to be refusing to push him under Triple H. After undergoing a gimmick change, Elias worked as Ezekiel for the majority of last year. However, after taking over the creative team, Triple H quickly dropped the Ezekiel gimmick and brought back Elias on October 17th.

Vince Russo praised the 35-year-old star on Legion of RAW. He said that Elias has been a cool guy from day one. Russo stated that winning over the WWE Universe isn’t too difficult.

Elias is a cool guy. Elias has been a cool guy from day one. They have never one single time tapped into Elias being a cool guy. Could it be that people writing for him are not cool? I don’t know but he is another guy who should not be too difficult to get over.

The former WWE writer also revealed that he was helping Elias come back to RAW. Before Elias’ return, Russo pitched a number of imaginative ideas for him. Russo was anxious to help elevate Elias’ status in the WWE, but Vince McMahon didn’t appreciate his original ideas.

Elias returned to RAW a few weeks ago and joined forces with the locker room to stop The Bloodline. He was defeated by Solo Sikoa in a Street Fight on RAW, before falling to Omos on the most recent episode of WWE RAW. Keep an eye on Ringside News for the latest updates.
