Next Monday marks the 30th Anniversary of WWE’s flagship television show. WWE RAW is set to feature appearances from multiple WWE Hall of Famers and veterans, including Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker – both of whom have notably appeared on the first episode of Raw. Still, Road Dogg has no idea what to expect.
The promotional poster for Raw is XXX features Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, Kurt Angle, Ric Flair, The Bella Twins, X-Pac, Teddy Long, Jerry “The King” Lawler, Ron Simmons, “Road Dogg” Jesse James, and members of the Anoa’i family. WWE plans for the night to be a special throwback and a treat for its long time fans. Hopefully, they are able to get everything together for a great show, one which will also serve as the go-home episode before the 2023 Royal Rumble event.
It seems not everyone is in the loop for what is going to go down this monday. Despite being featured on the poster, WWE executive and Hall of Famer Brian ‘Road Dogg’ James has revealed that they have no idea what the creative plans for the upcoming WWE Raw 30th Anniversary are.
Speaking on his Oh… You Didn’t Know podcast, James revealed WWE was asking for his availability for the 30th anniversary. He continued saying they haven’t offered him any details for the creative plans but he would be down for whatever they say.
“It’s really cool to me. They’ve asked me if I’m available (for WWE Raw 30).
“They have not asked or suggested any creative or anything like that but I’m sure, look, whatever they suggest, I will do gladly and I will do to the best of my ability and I will try to make you laugh (podcast co-host) and probably no one else but as long as you laugh, I’m okay with that.”
Road Dogg became the Senior Vice President of Live Events in August 2022 after Triple H took over the company during the hiatus of Vince McMahon. Road Dogg actually replaced Jeff Jarrett, which allowed Double J to sign with AEW. The DX member served as a producer and writer for WWE since 2014, though did make a number of on-air appearances in the years that followed.
Road Dogg was also part of the legendary stable D-Generation-X which consisted of Triple-H, Shawn Michaels, X-Pac, Billy Gunn and several other honorary members. Perhaps there will be a segment featuring a DX reunion, but don’t expect to see Billy Gunn since he is with AEW. For more updates, stay tuned to Ringside News.
