Everything in WWE has undergone a massive change with the reemergence of the former WWE Chairman and CEO, Vince McMahon. Despite him being back in the office, current CEO Nick Khan believes he won’t be back on television any time soon.

Vince McMahon shockingly announced his retirement from WWE back in July 2022. He left the company amidst multiple sexual allegations and a hush money scandal. But the Chairman could not stay away for long and made his return to the company recently.

With Vince McMahon’s return to the WWE Board of Directors alongside his two handpicked candidates, Michelle Wilson and George Barrios, his daughter Stephanie McMahon announced her resignation as WWE Chairwoman and CEO. Vince’s position was then officially formalized as Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Vince McMahon returned primarily to pursue the sale of WWE and negotiate media deals for the company, with Saudi Arabia rumored to be a front-runner in purchasing the global juggernaut. Moreover, Vince McMahon also made a multi-million dollar settlement with Rita Chatterton recently, amidst rape allegations by her.

Despite Vince McMahon being back on the board, WWE’s sole CEO Nick Khan recently stated that Vince won’t be appearing on WWE TV at the moment, but those plans could definitely change. He spoke about this on the Bill Simmons Show.

“Not at this moment. No is the answer to that question. Could it change in a few months? Sure, it could change. That would be Paul and Vince being on the same page about it. I don’t see it right now.”

Vince McMahon’s return might have a drastic impact on the current working environment of WWE. As per multiple speculations, he wants to sell the company to Saudi Arabia in order to regain creative control and run WWE as he used to in the past.
