In fact, Hardy revealed what Jeff Hardy messaged him about Jay Briscoe’s death.
The wrestling community is in a state of shock and mourning following the passing of Jay Briscoe, one half of the legendary Briscoe Brothers tag team, who died in a tragic car accident on Tuesday. He was only 38 years old at the time of his death. The wrestling world is still struggling to come to terms with this loss.
While speaking on the latest edition of The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, Matt Hardy revealed what text message his brother Jeff Hardy sent him regarding Jay Briscoe’s unfortunate passing.
“One of the first texts I saw whenever I woke up from napping and heard this, just, awful news was from Jeff. He just said, ‘Hey, I don’t know if you heard about Jay Briscoe. I hope you’re getting to where you’re going tonight safely. I love you, and I hope you’re good.’ It’s very important to tell people that you love that you love them because you never know when your last day can be.”
The Young Bucks also donated $20k to Jay Briscoe’s donation page. The wrestling community is grappling with the devastating news of Jay Briscoe’s untimely passing. Our hearts go out to his family and friends during this difficult time. RIP.
