FTR has been making their mark in tag team wrestling all around the world. The duo has won multiple tag team titles across various promotions, but did not take winning the WWE 24/7 championship from R-Truth too well.

R-Truth has been one of the beloved and entertaining WWE superstars for a long time. Truth is known for his comedic acts and impressive wrestling style. Moreover, his work as the 24/7 champion has been widely regarded by the WWE Universe for a long time.

The former 54-time WWE 24/7 champion defended the titles against all types of competitors, en route to winning the title on most occasions. However, back in August 2019, R-Truth’s run as champion came face to face with FTR.

R-Truth came to Monday Night RAW to defend his championship inside the ring. However, Truth was taken down by both Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler, who in turn became the first-ever co-holders of the WWE 24/7 championship.

FTR’s run did not last for long, as R-Truth’s associate Carmella took advantage of the chaos that followed in the ring to flip Truth over Dax Harwood and help him win back the title. Harwood recently recalled the incident on his FTR with Dax Harwood podcast, claiming that winning the title was never on FTR’s bucket list, moreover, calling it a joke.

“Obviously, wasn’t too happy. I know a lot of people are going to say, ‘oh big surprise, you are not happy.’ You know, there was a lot of things we still wanted to accomplish as a tag team. I mean, in 2023 there are a lot of things we still want to accomplish in tag-team. But being co-24/7 champions was not on our bucket list of things to do. So obviously, that championship was taken as a joke. It was some comic-relief of a two-hour television show, and I’d have much rather not had it. ”

FTR left the WWE around April 2020 and signed with AEW in May of the same year, while continuing to wrestle for other promotions. R-Truth on the other hand has been a long-time WWE veteran but is currently out of action due to injury.
